So, you may have noticed that there have been no posts for 2015. Last year was a quite a trying year for us, having lived through an incredible loss to our family, early in the year, then having to plan a wedding! Needless to say, we were quite busy between that and some major shows. Unfortunately, our SoFresh Ambassador Program didn’t live up to our expectations and disbanded. We hope to have a new sponsorship program up and running next year, so stay tuned! We did however, invite one of our SoFresh Ambassadors to join the family. Kyle Petrick (@kylepetricknj) will be joining us as a Features writer, providing coverage for shows around the tri-state area. Welcome aboard, Kyle! His coverage of Wicked Big Meet 2016 will be published soon, so keep an eye out for it!
Our season started off pretty ambitiously. We hopped in the van and drove 14 hours from New York to Chicago where Wekfest returned after a 6 year absence! Chicago is a great city; amazing weather, incredible character, and delicious food! (I should start a food blog here.) Road trips are always fun, especially with awesome people! Our friend Nawshin Basher brought home Wekfest Chicago’s Best of Show, with his custom built Evo. I’m sure you’ll be seeing him and his Evo plenty this season! Anyway, we’ll be seeing you again in the future, Chicago!
The following weekend, we hopped in the van again and drove down to Boxerfest, which is quickly becoming one of the larger Subaru enthusiasts shows, after Wicked Big Meet. Run by the same folks that bring you WBM, this event doesn’t cease to entertain. The venue at FedEx Field is a sight to behold. Rain was in the forecast, and rain it did, but it did not deter you hardcore Subaru fans! It was still a great event despite the weather!
We’re looking to add other Feature writers to the team across the country. If you’re interested, drop us a line with writing and photography samples!
Please bear with us as we update the online store with several new apparel releases! We hope to see you at an upcoming show!
